Connect a custom domain

Point your own domain at your ManageCanvas site with one DNS record.

Updated July 23, 2026

Your site is live at yourname.managecanvas.com, but you can use your own domain instead.

Add your domain

  1. Open Account → Settings and find the Custom domain section.
  2. Enter your domain (e.g. www.yourname.com) and save.

Add one DNS record

ManageCanvas gives you a CNAME target. At your domain registrar — wherever you bought the domain — add a CNAME record pointing your domain to that target. You don't need a Cloudflare account; just this one record.

Wait for it to go live

The status shows Pending while your DNS change propagates and a security certificate is issued (usually minutes, sometimes a few hours). When it's ready the status turns Active, and your site loads securely over your own domain.

Tips

  • Use a subdomain like www or art — most registrars only allow CNAME records on a subdomain, not the root.
  • Your yourname.managecanvas.com address keeps working too, so existing links never break.
